Tutoring Session Times
We offer three session lengths to best meet each student’s needs.
30-minute sessions are ideal for younger learners in Pre-K through 1st or 2nd grade, providing focused support that matches their attention span and learning style.
60-minute sessions work well for students in 2nd grade and up, allowing time to dive deeper into one subject or provide support in multiple areas.
90-minute sessions are recommended for students in grades 5 and up. These longer sessions are perfect for preparing for multiple tests, strengthening study skills, or taking a deeper dive into two or more subjects.

30 Minute Session
Half hour sessions are good for younger students (K-2) and will focus on one or two skills in one subject only. Perfect for basic reading skills or numeracy.
$20/half hour
60 Minute Sessions
One hour sessions are perfect for older students (2nd grade and up). Hour sessions provide time to delve deeper into a single subject or to focus on two subjects.
$30/hour
90 Minute Sessions
Hour and a half sessions are best for older students (5th grade and up) for intensive remediation or for tutoring in more than one subject.
$45/hour and a half
Details
- Initial reading tutoring appointment will include screening.
- Whenever possible, tutoring will be held in a study space at the Midlothian Public Library.
- If the library is not available, an appropriate space will be determined.
- Tutoring spot is not reserved until payment is made.
- Monthly payments are preferred.
- If paying weekly, payment will be required at least one day in advance.
- All learning materials will be provided.
