From designing and building roller coasters in Minecraft to constructing working circuits and redstone models with real materials, we will apply critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.
Tornado Tuesday
Get ready for an action-packed STEAM Day focused on the powerful forces of nature! We will dive into the science and engineering behind natural disasters as we design and build emergency shelters, simulate earthquakes and floods, and explore how tornadoes, volcanoes and hurricanes form. From the skies to the oceans, let's take on nature's extremes!
Wild Wednesday
Get ready for a wild adventure exploring the world around us! We will become ecologists, engineers, and explorers as we investigate food chains, build animal habitats, and model ecosystems from rainforests to coral reefs. Wild Wednesday is a wild blend of science, technology, engineering, art, and math—all focused on the wonders of the natural world!
Thermodynamic Thursday
Get ready to explore the science of heat and cold through exciting, hands-on activities and experiments. We will investigate how thermal energy moves, design insulated containers to keep things hot or cold, and explore real-world applications like how animals adapt to extreme temperatures. It’s a high-energy day of discovery, creativity, and cool learning!
Force Friday
Get ready to push, pull, and launch into learning! This STEAM Day is all about the exciting world of force and motion. We will explore gravity, friction, and acceleration through hands-on challenges like building catapults, racing balloon-powered cars, and testing ramps and rollers. Blending creativity with critical thinking, Force Friday gives us a dynamic day of discovery in science, technology, engineering, art, and math—where learning is always in motion!
